Same-Day Hotel Delivery Service for tourists by JR Kyushu

R Kyushu is set to launch a “Same-Day Hotel Delivery Service” on September 14, offering travelers at Hakata Station the convenience of dropping off their luggage and having it delivered to their hotel or ryokan in Yufuin and Beppu City by approximately 6 PM on the same day.

In the Same-Day Hotel Delivery Service, the luggage leaves Hakata Station around 11 AM, arrives at Oita Station around 1 PM via the Limited Express Sonic train, and is then transported by truck to the hotel or ryokan between 4 PM and 6 PM.

The service counter is located in front of the central ticket gates at Hakata Station, with reception hours from 8:30 AM to 10 AM.

Luggage size is limited to a total of 160 cm in height, width, and depth, and a weight of up to 20 kg, with no limit on the number of items.
The fee is 2,500 yen per piece of luggage.

No prior reservation is required, and the service will close for the day once the maximum capacity for luggage on the limited express train is reached.

JR Kyushu plans to consider expanding the service to more stations in the future.
