Overview

Kujuku Islands (九十九島), located in Nagasaki, the westernmost point of mainland Japan. It is a scenic spot consisting of the intricate Rias costline and 208 islands of various sizes. The entire area is designated as Saikai National Park.

Out of 208 islands, there are only 4 inhabited islands, Kuroshima, Takashima, Maejima, and Toudomarishima.

The word “Kujuku(九十九)” means “too many to count”. This area has the highest concentration of islands in Japan.

Kujukushima Pearl Sea Resort, located approximately 10 minutes from Sasebo Station, is a complex facility where you can enjoy Kujuku Islands. You can enjoy an aquarium, shopping, marine leisure activities, cruising, and great views of Kujuku Islands.

There are also many other places, such as parks and observatories, where you can enjoy views of Kujuku Islands.
